About the Housewife

I am a twenty-something married lesbian mom living in the suburbs of Boston, MA. My wife, fondly referred to as “The Accountant,” and I have been together for six and a half years, and are proud mommas of our “Little Guy,” born May 3, 2010.

I’ve been a feminist since kindergarten, when I accused my teacher of gender discrimination. She was pretty stunned – I’m sure in part because I had correctly used the word “discrimination.”

I am a stay at home mom by choice.  I love music, great big beautiful books (though I don’t have much time for reading these days!), interior design, and being an earthy-crunchy, breastfeeding, baby-wearing, cloth diapering mom.

My wife keeps a roof over our heads, the ground steady under my feet, and gives me more love and patience than anyone could ask for.  Our Little Guy is a laid back dude with a killer toothless smile who makes every day brighter.

This blog is a little of everything – personal updates, political rantings, baby babbling, pop culture indulgences, domestic victories, etc.
