Hello there! Long time, no blog.
The month of February turned out to be quite the roller coaster ride, and once again, life got in the way of blogging.
I won’t bore you with the laundry list of crazy things that happened in this Housewife’s life over the course of really, just a couple of weeks, but I will tell you that things have calmed down a bit now. Currently, my only drama is trying to find a new job, which I must say, in this economy, is an absolute joy. I am optimistic, though.
I am also incredibly happy. Why? Because my absolute, #1, most favorite of all time band, U2, is back with a vengeance. Their new album, No Line on The Horizon is freaking fantastic, and they’ve been filling up my DVR with all kinds of great tv appearances! What more could I ask for?! I’m like a kid in a candy store, building up a U2 sugar high!
It’s so great to have them back after being away for a few years, and the timing is just marvelous as all the U2 hubbub provides a distraction from how positively dreadful the final season of The L-Word has turned out to be… Seriously, are you watching? Because The Accountant and I have been barely hanging on by a thread all season. Yuck. What a disappointment.
Well anyway, I just wanted to poke my head out and say that I’m alive. Apologies for the radio silence, and thanks to all those who keep checking back.
xo,
Feminist Housewife

This season of The L Word has been disappointing in a major way. I’m a straight girl that has been watching the show since the beginning and I hate to see it wrapping up this way. Max – ?! That is a story line that should continue, in my opinion. And Alice? I love her, she’s my girl crush, her and Tasha don’t have anything in common, but they were so cute together. Bette and Tina are boring. And it drives me nuts that Helena is going back to Dylan. Shane and Molly – I forget how that ended, but Shane is CRAY-ZAY for being with Jenny. Whoa. You can tell it’s leading to her death. I love Kit and I love the story lines and this whole drama; it’s sad it’s ending.
About U2 – I concur, great album.
Just had to comment – glad to see an update!

Hi,
I found you through your Rachel Maddow (love her) post and then saw your L Word category. I agree with you and MappyB — this season has been dreadful. But that’s pretty much the way it’s been since the middle of season two. I have my predictions about the finale if anyone’s interested:

Thanks to all for reading and commenting!
Kim – Thanks for the link, I enjoyed your post. TLW was never a brilliant show, but at least managed to be enjoyable for most of its run. I always liked a couple of characters and cared about at least a storyline or two. Now I find myself wincing through every episode and not caring even a teensy bit about any character or plot line. I’ve only tuned into this season out of mild curiosity (and a great love for Jennifer Beals and her amazing biceps). I really hope that the spin-off isn’t picked up by Showtime because I truly don’t think TLW was good enough to reward Ilene Chaiken with another show. It’s time for someone else to try their hand at “telling our stories.”
