Gov. David Patterson of New York has instructed all state agencies to legally recognize same-sex marriages performed in Massachusetts, California and all foreign countries where the lincenses are issued! Link to CNN article HERE

This follows a February ruling by a NY state appeals court that the state of New York must recognize these legal, out of state marriages.  The Governor’s support and enforcement of this decision is great news.
